why is it that some people can tolerate pain more than others.
is it due to just the mentality of the person, or does it have to do with like nerve endings and maybe if you have more it hurts more, and if you have less you hurt less..
i just made that up, cuz i have absolutely no clue, hence the reason i am asking, and because i am curious.

It is more mental than anything. Or maybe you have endured very high amounts of pain so you get used to it.

However, it is more mental than anything.

some people who are more prone have programmed their brain to ignore certain levels of pain.

I forgot to add drugs/alcohol.
this can be a determining factor.

mostly though, I think someone just has to say in their mind "i don't give a fuck"

that works for minor pain however if you have ever broken a bone or really fucked up a tooth you know that some pain just can't be fully tolerated. bone pain is just awful ><

i'll have to agree with tooth aches, that shit messes with your whole body.

however broken bones you don't feel right away(in my experience)
and the only time I have had lingering affects from broken bone, was from splitting my skull open in a car crash.
one more thing I can't stand though besides tooth aches and pinching... stubbing my toe.

Ah, pain. 90% of everything you do is mental.
