he has been watching too much V. if there is intelligent life out there we would be foollish not to communicate with them. either way i dont think we would have a choice. i really cant believe he would say this.

I was laughing at the intro to the video. His eye. OMFG HIS EYE.
I'd pull pranks and switch the lines to his speaker. While I'm safe on a microphone in another room, I'd start badmouthing whoever talks to him.

theres a pretty big difference here. the more civilised a culture the less likely they are to use slaves, i think the risk is lower than he makes it out to be. also if they have the ability to cross the many light years in between us they wouldnt have a use for human slaves/pets whatever.

they wouldn't be interested in us but rather the raw materials on our planet and i doubt we would willing let them ravage our planet so they would find it easier to annihilate us to plunder the earth,

but it honestly would be easier for them to just mine the vast amounts of asteroid fields and comets cause they can just bring them into the ship for processing no need to dig or drill fighting gravity on a planet, less work to mine in space

only real reason is if they wanted to take over the planet and live on ir instead of there ships

i think they could find other habitable worlds closer to wherever they are. would probably be easier for them to terraform something closer to wherever they come from. but they could give us invaluable info instantly changing everything we know.

i doubt other life forms are going to enslave us

if they were so much more advanced i don't see why they would need human labor, im sure they have robots that work much faster/more efficiently

maybe they could think we could be a threat in the future

Well with humans most likely being the more hostile of the two i believe they would see us as a threat.
