--> 2000 Watt DBDrive Amp
--> 2x 10" Rockford Fosgate P2 (Punch) Subwoofers

These are fosgates, i know i can can good bass out of them, but im having trouble tuning everything
Plus i have a few questions

Not the technical answer, but what are low/high pass filters on my amp for? And what should i put them at?

And im trying to be able to have CLEAR/CLEAN bass, it seems like my subs are vibrating too much and like coughing on some notes like they cant keep up
I just so aggravated and not sure how to tune it, do i turn my stereo bass up? do i turn my amp all the way up? all the way down? do i set my sub settings on my stereo for max? mid low?

I want my subs to just play the bass, it seems like they are transferring every little vibration through it and all the different sounds.. the sub cant handle all of the different frequencies at once. I just want the bass, is there a certain tuning?

Really need someone who knows what they are talking about, anything that helps my car will donate FG to

Without the rest of your stereo specs I have to guess on a few things but here it goes.

I'm guessing clean and clear means you probably listen to rock type music and are interested in hearing a clean/clear bass drum. That means you want to get frequencies below 80mhz. 10" subs are the low end of mid-bass so you will have to adjust a couple things.

I also will consider the amp as almost overpowering them at max output. 2000W is a lot for 10" subs usually.

I will have to assume you have decent speaker such as after market 6x9's to pick up the mid-bass.

Under those conditions set the 6x9's to high-pass@~240-250MHz and the subs to low-pass@60 MHz. This may seem extreme but the cut off is usually around 8-10dbl so this should be a good starting point. If you have an EQ, you should be able to fine tune the sound this way.

Having such a high powered amp and concluding you want high-impact bass sound, then you want to dial down the amplifier. The idea is to give it more reserve power to throw the voice coil, giving giving that clean bass sound a tight bass drum has, while minimizing lower bass guitar influences. The flavor of the bass guitar is better heard in the mid-bass and under this setup the idea is to share the bass guitar sound between the 6x9's and the subs; with the tone from the 6x9's and the necessary undertones only in the 10's. We want the 10's to mainly be focused on they hard hitting sound of the bass drum.

If you do not have after market speakers with greater than a ~200w amp on them you will defiantly have problems trying to make the sound "whole". It's kinda like someone singing without a mic along with a guy playing metal hooked up to a 7' stack Or simply "NO I CAN'T HEAR YOU WHISPERING OVER TOP OF THAT JUMBO JET!!!" :D

If you ever listen to rap/hip hop then I would suggest a different set up.

I also am not looking for the fg, you don't have to send any if this helps. <3

When you talk about sound frequencies its on hz, not mega hertz; 1Mhz=1 million cycles per second. Just pointing that out xD

Never turn the bass on your stereo up. You need to turn those to -6 or the lowest you can make them. TRUST ME.
Edited to add: On my stereo for my system, I have an option on the radio that allows High low or off for my subs. It still beats on high low or off. Lol. But anyways. Hope I could help. My trouble by the way is all the way up.

Yep, you got me there! :P

Human hearing is on avg 20Hz to 2000Hz. :rofl:

Good catch and clarification. Thanks! <3

on your deck: check to make sure your "bassbooster" or whatnot isnt on or cranked up. and keep your low eq flat(0).
amp, gain somewhere around 3/4. other knobs like filters, cant give advice. also may be a booster knob of some sort on amp too, on my kicker i keep it low, higher gain and no additional deck distortion and get a good clean sound.
