really interesting
hydrogen sulfide "replaces" oxygen in mammals, allowing their metabolism to slow down and survive in low-oxygen environments (essentially put them in a hibernation)
it's also giving patients (or people in critical condition) extra time to receive medical care by temporarily "de-animating" them
