Saw this on TV. Wait til it gets close and then. . . jump up & hang onto the tusks. The trunk will just push you up. You cant outrun it, and if you curl into a ball/play dead it'll crush you. Worth a shot.

It's like when they tell you that the best way to survive a tiger attack is to first play dead and if that doesn't work, when it tries to bite you, you shove your fist down its throat because "tigers have bad gag reflexes".
