When 2012 passes, this is what will happen:

1. People will claim a change occurred but it will be a wishy washy claim. "A new consciousness was born in everyone, it just needs time to grow, you'll see!"

2. They will alter their dates. "Oh because the European calendar is off by x years, the big event will happen in x years!"

3. They will pretend they never believed it. "Oh I was just messing around, no one really believed that crap."

This is nothing like Y2K. Y2K was actually based on bad things that could have happened, if people weren't on the ball enough to correct the problem. People were on the ball enough, so there wasn't much to worry about, but people wouldn't have been quite so on the ball if there wasn't so much worry. So in all, it worked out well.

2012 is based on nothing but flimsy horseshit and hocus pocus and a misreading of the Mayan calendar, which doesn't end until 2220.

let's just hope it don't happen like in the movie.
