So I am trying to hook my laptop up to my TV, I have the DVI cord connected properly from the laptop to the tv. The input on the tv is set to DVI. Now what? I know I need to go to properties and do something to switch it to the tv but I forgot how to do this. Help!

If you're on XP, it's right click desktop, properties, settings, and click on the display dropdown box.
