someone is buying me a laptop and i dont know what to look for in a lap top

its just for internet or gaming mostly but i dont know what to look for in those

wat inch should i buy?
wat brand is decent but cheap?

I'd suggest you 16-17 as for the gaming laptop. You won't need long time working without battery, so that's the optimal size.
Best to buy core2d NOT dual core processor. quad and higher are not worth their price on laps.
RAM? 3GB minimum now, 4 GB suggested if you want win7.
Brand? Dell makes fine stuff, Asus too. Do not pay for HP/Sony - their are overpriced and you're paying only for the brand.
