It's only cool if you have a huge block of pure sodium..
And the only thing that's really cool about it is that water is supposed to be like anti-fire... but it causes sodium to pretty much explode.

yah lol but sodium just try to transform with a another substance like Cl. (NaCl and other..) its because u cant have sodium in nature because the water is anywhere in the planet...

when u look the elment board, all the left element ( Celsium, Francium, Rubidium and Sodium ) is dangerous with water.

Yeah
And on the left column... Elements become more reactive while you go down in it.

Caesium is way more reactive than sodium.

Mythbusters tried to explode a wall with like 500 grams of potassium...
potassium flames and there really is a nice reaction... but it sucks... that didn't even move a brick of the wall.

So they picked up C-4

A pure metal like sodium, potassium, etc doesn't explode... its more like it consumes... burn... reacts .... but there is no deflagration...

Anyway, c-4 was cool on t.v. today :)
