HOw Do Falling birthrates pose a threat to human welfare environmentally?
writing a paper and have no ideas on what to write

It attributes to overpopulation which in turn will impact the environment because of increased pollution and resource usage.

Do you know what words mean?

If the birthrate is falling, there are -fewer- people, which contributes to depopulation.

Personally, I can't really think of anything that's a good argument other than foolishly extrapolating out that eventually tehre'll be no people at all. Which is silly.

Well I guess with falling birth rates, the % of elderly will increase, while the % of students decreases.
More people doing nothing at home.
And less people attending the schools, and eventually will result in a lot of open jobs.
Less people to work at the part time jobs, as well as less people to get into the big businesses. All sections (primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary) will need employees.

I don"t see too many problems with a falling population. If would be easier to argue about the detrimental effects of increasing birth rates.
