all bullshit to me
the Mayan calender makers had to end it somewhere, they couldnt go on forever, just so happens they decided to stop at 2012
if they would have went 5 more years the same convo would take place by paranoid people except the world would end in 2017
well, this would be my option, if scientists did not prove anything

the sun "cycles" every 11 years, meaning there is a high to low point in solar activity spanning 11 years. i believe the most recent cycle started about a year or two ago.
no the mayan calendar didnt predict 9/11, no the end of the world is not coming on the solstice of 2012. the mayans simple figured out the date the earth moon and center of the galaxy would align, and counted backwards 13 thousand years, and began their calendar. meaning when it finally came time for the earth moon and galaxy to align, their calendar would "end". its like counting to 100. they figured out what day something would happen, and started at number one. now that its finally time that theyve figuratively reached 100 so their calender is going to "end"
they didnt "just so happen" to end it at 2012, they astronomically observed and mathematically calculated a VERY special day in the history of our planet
makes sense.
