REALITY-- in everyday usage, means "the state of things as they actually exist." In a sense it is what is real.

W.V.O Quine said that "to be is to be the value of a (bound) variable"; philosophically speaking, this approaches a reasonable answer.

However, it seems to me that language plays a decisive role in deciding what counts as real. So does perception. A fact is not independent of something which creates it.
