Im not sure this is the right forum but here goes


Diablo II game wise: lately ive begon to get these "issues" when trying to log on to Battle.net or Open, it says "unable properbly identify my application version" or summit like that

last time i had to re-install the whole crap, plz help

Think about what stuff you've been downloading / installing lately / have you changed anything on your computer? etc...

If it was working fine before, then whatever you changed recently, whether its installing a new game, or even updating another game -- it can all be a part of the problem.

sounds like it can't verify which patch of diablo you are running.

My only suggestion before reinstalling is try manually patching to 1.12 then your "application version" should be correct.

If you do reinstall I suggest backing up your entire d2 folder if you have the space on your HD. Then if it happens again just delete the folder and rename your back up one to your primary one.

I've had the same problem. I'd never seen this before I installed d2 on my laptop where I use windows vista. Try right click the icon and "run as administrator".. see if that helps :)
if it don't, I got some more tricks up my sleeve

might have figured out the flaw thanks guys, the reaason was a weird virus Grr donno how it passed my anti virus and fire wall anyway, im cleaning the crap out of it that should help :P
