I personally own a chinese water dragon. I have had him since febuary and he has doubled in size since then (-: He will get to be around 3 feet long when he is full grown and LOVES this hot weather we're having in washington (-:

THATS COOL! I wanna own a snake ... but i cant yet .. 2 fuken poor lol. pluz idk shit about them , like i hear u have 2 clean their caig once a week...... do u know if thats true and if so then y ??

What kind of snake would you like to own? And no you don't have to clean everything in the enclosure every week. I belong to a reptile forum and the snake owners on there clean the entire enclosures once every month (with spot cleaning the poop as they see it) Usually a snake only poops once a week because thats how often you feed them as babies and every 10-14 days as adults. But you need to tear the enclosure apart once a month and steralize everything in there with a 1 part bleach/ 10 part water mixture to make sure there isn't any germs growing (-:

Well, it would all depend on what you want. Do you like colorful snakes? If you do I would suggest one of the cornsnake morphs.
And I don't think your bf would would like that :-P Plus YOU would have to learn how to take care of it in case your bf wasn't around.

Just make sure he does his research BEFORE getting one. I can help you with that but make sure he doesn't just do a sper of the moment buys. Thats why there are so many herps in rescues
