Basically, I watched a few space channels on History Channel and scientists have been talking about how the Universe will end, destorying every single point of matter until there is none. Stars will die out, Galaxies will disipate, and Planets will die out too. How do you think the Universe will end? Or do you think there will be no complete end?

Honestly, I think the universe is going to end on 2012. I can't think of a better time to be honest.

I like the idea of a big crunch -- which is where all matter in the universe will collapse back down to a singularity and the big bang will eventually happen all over again (possibly?)

But that probably won't happen since the expansion rate is increasing

can be created but not destroyed...it can be condensed infinitely however.

As a Christian Leader, I strongly disagree with any of this "2012 end of the world" bullshit. In the Bible it states that none of us humans will know when the second coming of Christ is (end of the world to bring all his followers to Heaven). So if any of this predictionary philosophers think that the world will end in 2012, read the verse. The Good Book has been around since long before we knew of an "ending of the world" and survived through it all. But, in my opinion, God himself will swallow the univers back upon itself, and recycle the debris for another culture to develop.
