I've heard 2025 somewhere .. I've also heard 2040 .. It'd be nice to know something factual / concrete. You'd think NASA would be ready for this by now.

Nasa said at the lastest there will be a man on mars by 2050. Projected mission year is 2039 though.

we need to start funding technological advances in space technology. then we can have a base on the moon. and instead of raping the earth we can get raw minerals out of the asteroid belts. it would be a sustainable way to do things and give us a technological boost which is needed.

also the economic boost especially if we colonized
