this article is the coolest thing ive read in a while. "a newly found primordial blob" -named himiko, some 12.9 billion light years away was spotted and is one of the oldest and biggest objects ever seen. at 55,000 light years across it is half the span of our galaxy. there are several ideas of what it could be, a halo around a supermassive blackhole, a galactic collision, outgoing wind from a star nursery or possibly a giant galaxy. the object is believed to be from 800 million years after the big bang (tho the big bang is still a theory).
