How many substances are shown in the equation?

KBr + Cl2 --------> Br2 + KCl

Note: all the numbers are subscripts, not coefficients

Is it three?

Answers are

a. 2
b. 3
c. 4
d. 8

Yeah the molecules don't matter, just the elements and/or compounds i guess.

when they say substances, they mean whats being mixed physically (supposing you were carrying out this reaction). In this case, your substances would be the compounds of the equations -- therefore c. 4 is the correct answer.

Lol your A means nothing if you don't know this answer for sure T_T... a person who does not take chemistry should be able to figure this out lol.

Vouch. I don't even know what A level chemistry means, but I'm pretty sure it's not advanced if it has a letter and not a definitive title.

'Should be able', i'm sure if you walk around and ask people, not everyone will be able to get it correctly T_T

Go to school if you don't know what A levels are. Multi.

I've been to school. I just didn't go to school in America.

In fact, I've done several years of chemistry and chemical engineering and I still don't know what A means.

I guess it's just your shitty system.
