i was watching the history channel before bed, when this UFO shit came on talking about a green light many ppl around the world have been seeing. in 2007 i saw a bright neon green light, much too big to be a meteor fall from the sky then vanish behind a very heavy bank of clouds. did a little research online, seems a few other ppl have seen the same thing in tennessee( where i saw it ). just bored and curious.. anyone else see this strange phenomenon?

They're most common near the poles. Electromagnetic storms and other shit from the sun can cause them to appear further from the poles. I remember seeing an aurora in Massachusetts once.

This wasnt anything like that. was a simple round object travelling towards the earth @ very high speed from a very high altitude

It could really be a number of things... I mean there are so many unexplained phenomena, just because they are so rare.

A good guess would be a meteorite with a lot of copper in it. Copper burns green. So a copper meteorite would be a green fireball.
