In reading modern physics, i often come across talk of spacetime beyond 4 dimentions. While i've never been able to visualize this sort of space beyond a mathematical interpretation, this vid gives a nice picture of the implications of more space to travel through.

Extra dimensions of space are just that. Dimensions of time have nothing to do with dimensions of space. :/

Many modern technologies wouldn't even be possible if our race didn't understand that space and time are the same thing. GPS, global communications, and the entire feild of cosmology, to name a few. All of modern physics has grown from that understanding. I know how you can be confused on this point, because the 'classical' interpretation assumes space and time are completely different things. Yet, if they were, Einstein's predictions would all be wrong.

(Spoiler: Einstein wasn't wrong)

Extra spacial dimensions have everything to do with time, as do the three we're accustomed to.
