I have a 1st generation iPod Touch, recently got a pair of headphones that have a built in mic and remote; however, I didn't see that those are only compatible with 2nd gen...is there any way to use "line in" features, or is the 1st gen hardware only capable of "line out"? (I have a soldering iron if needed)

*Fg to anyone who can tell me how to make it work or give me a link to a tutorial (even if it's soldering a wire to create a line-in)

Well, I've read that you just need to solder a line in wire to the headphone wire. Dunno how though.
