Has anyone taken a jar and tried to scoop up some?

Does it have mass?

Is it dark because it is a dark color being lit up by stars and/or other sources or is it the absence of light?

Is it like a gas and fills up the container it's in?

it is dark because it doesn't reflect light. it is invisible
we have no idea what it is, we only know it has a gravitational pull
and no one does not scoop it up, scientists have tried catching some for some time but they believe it is so small it passes right through atoms

Dark matter has mass, it has no charge, and can only be affected by gravity. (Hence the 'dark' part)
This means that it is only detected by gravitational lensing of light.
Some say that dark matter consists of neutrinos.
I think I even read an article in an astronomy magazine that said that there could be dark matter between the earth and the moon to account for anomalous accelerations of satellites, but I just believe that this is something that points to the aether's existence.
