its been shown that our brain determines what we see and that our sight is related to our brain
so does that mean people who need glasses are stupider then people who dont?
Okay first of all our brain orients what our eyes see. For example everything we see is actually upside down, but our brain turns it right side up -- and secondly, there is something called visual memory. If you see something like a plane in the air for the very first time in your life -- but you've seen birds before, your brain will try to recognize the object as a bird and so the first time around you won't be able to properly discern every detail or edge simply because your brain is trying very hard to recognize it as some sort of bird.
Our eyes on the other hand degrade over time, so therefore the CLARITY in the images that you could see before would reduce -- and theres nothing your brain can do about it. Its sort of like an auto focus camera, if your camera's bad or its damaged, then the camera's auto focus function won't be able to focus on every detail no matter how hard it tries simply because the quality image you have to start out with is bad.
