I heard about people hooking up their hdtvs to their pcs and making them their monitors..

I want to do this.

what is a good tv to do this with that is like 37" and a reasonable price.

Monitors generally have a lot better resolutions than TVs...
You would be better off with a smaller computer monitor.

Monitors have much better resolutions as well as quality than televisions. You would also need to dip in a lot for a nice new GPU.

Any nice 1080p tv with a good contrast ratio, frame rate and pc input would work fine. Actually, now a days, hdtvs compare pretty well with moniters.

All new plasma TV's and such come with HDMI ports on the back of them, and comes with a cable to hook into your TV, than directly into your graphic card. You'd need a powerful graphic card to handle it, especially being at a huge resolution a TV will need to look good for the quality.

hd tv's have o-k resolutions, though not as high as regular comp. monitors
you dont really need that powerful of a graphics card to use a tv either. lower res = higher frames

Anyone know of a good tv to use for this?
