Imagining other dimensions is fun, but our representations fail us, even if we can understand what other dimensions are like. A simple example of this failure is with the idea I've pressed in another thread about gravity leaks. The idea is that we live in our neat four dimensional universe, but then black holes sort of rip a hole trhough it and shape it. On "the other side", we have incredible mass which may explain why gravity is a weak force in our universe. I've described this "space" as a kind of pocket or perhaps a bubble, but it could be a fold, etc.; in any case, there are problems describing "it", because a black hole is actually a quite shrunken mass, so as we imagine entering a black hole, imagining "what's on the other side" really asks a lot. Some theories contend that we're going to connect to another universe much like our own, or that we're just going to reconnect to our own universe, or we're going to be exposed to a fold or membrane of some sort. Either way, the light show on the way in would be really cool, because we'd experience red shifting, and then blue shifting once we can look the other way. Some scientists contend that we would be able to peer out of a black hole to see the history of universe play out in high speed. Of course, we wouldn't make it "inside" a black hole anyway.
