Infinity is one of the odd paradoxes of life. Humans, as a rule, do not, and can not comprehend infinity. Why? Because everything on earth and everything that we know has a finite of space, length, and volume. The idea of something truly being endless baffles us. Well.. me at least. I try not to think about it too much.
I thought you
dealt with
chaos?. Infinity should seem so bad

Regarding some of the more technical discussion, part of the trouble with treating theoretical (explanatory) objects as real (out there in the world, tangible) objects is that terms, functions, etc. are often tools for expression of deep thinking. NOt everything we can imagine exists outside of our imagination. Otherwise my son would never cry, I'd never get hungry, and I'd be able to fly. There are a lot of cases where what we think up doesn't match anything outsides of our discussions and gestures, and there are a lot of cases where even very abstract mathematics match up with what there is "out there" in the world. I believe we should keep contant watch over our thinking, because sometimes we can confuse the tools for the shed, so-to-speak.

i read an article about black holes and its said they actually do have infinite densities. essentially they take up 0 volume, and thus the limit of D as V > 0 (according to M/V) their density is infinite. further, at the "point of no return" their pull of gravity is also infinite.
Bearing in mind that for these things, sometimes new branches of mathematics or physics need to be wrought. Infinite, perhaps, but what kind of meaning is attached to it?
