I have a fascination with bugs and spiders. Where I live, there are very few poisonous bugs and spiders. It is more what they carry as hitchhiking diseases/parasites that harm who they may bite. In Québec, the warmer climate is bringing with it deer ticks that carry lime disease and ticks which if bitten, you may develop a red meat allergy. That is freaky! I love meat. Sorry animals. But, imagine developing what is called Alpha-gal syndrome, an allergic reaction to a sugar molecule which is found in mammalian meat such as beef, pork, and lamb, etc...

Mosquitos carry the strangest diseases and parasites. Some, of what they carry, can lead to birth defects. It is sad how a small organism's bite and all that it may carry can result in such harm to a community if those types of mosquitoes find their way there.
