Someone used Claude and a voice capturing/rendering tool to create a full fake episode of a loved tech news content creator. Steve's right in sharing that it is not necessarily his channel which will be as greatly affected as his fans/viewers may be if they are made the targets of a scammer. From making a fairly passable Gamers Nexus episode using Claude and other LLM tools to then defrauding subscribers, it is a small leap. It sucks. I do not want good content creators to be used as a vector for scam artists to prey upon us. But, fat chance there will be any regulation. It's gonna get real ugly as more and more people, those who thrive from being parasites, become skilled at making LLM clones of everything and profiting from that.
