Longtime android user and have had a shitty Samsung galaxy s9 for awhile. I am indefinitely going to switch but what are people's opinions, does anyone have one and what do they think of it?

Hi there ! I was also an android user since as long as I can remember. I swapped from my s20 Ultra to the iPhone 15 pro max. I really like the location features - How texting with other apple users work - Facetime - apple maps (I like this MUCH better than google maps) - the wireless charging at night turns your display into a very low light red clock that I really like (if you want it to do this). Camera is amazing. I am taking photos of my dogs and can see individual hairs on their back. Zooming in is great too. It creates mini albums based on what the pictures are and creates a slideshow. I feel like the speakers are better and much louder. I have had 0 issues with connecting this phone to my headphones(Sonys) via bluetooth or my car. I also really like the new side button that is quick to put it on silent or ring. Apple pay is GREAT. I love it. The touch screen also feels much better than my android - But my phone was about 3 years old so im unsure how the new iphone stacks up against the newest samsung! I don't really feel like you can go wrong with the newest iPhone or the newest samsung.

Most nights I don't even charge my phone ! Battery is wonderful. I do spend a lot of time on my phone too - Esp at night when the social media doom scrolling kicks in and im scrolling forever LOL. Also swapping is really easy - You just set the 2 phones beside each other and everything swaps within like 30 minutes maybe less depending on how much you have. I had thousands of pictures. Everything transferred over with no issues. I think I had a couple of apps missing because they were android only but they weren't important. Just make sure you do not forget about your google auth and whatever other auth apps you might have (steam, blizzard, microsoft, etc) just double check those are working correctly before getting rid of your old phone.

im just an apple guy, i tried android back in the day and i just couldn't stand it.
i know they have more tech inside, more capability etc, i get it that technically it is a superior phone.

but what i appreciate about the iphone is how SMOOTH it is all the time.

the keyboard was years ahead of android, by how smooth and easy it was for me (back then, im sure its different now)
but the userface, the apps, how easy it is to do basically anything that i do on it (social media, purchasing, music etc)

i have the pro max and i love it, highly reccomend.

Dude don't get an Apple phone I would do anything to go back to my Samsung Galaxy S5 lol

Unless you spend your life on your phone(some do) the changes are very small and barely noticeable. The only benefits being what others have posted.

I have zero games on my phone and like a max of 10 apps(I-Phone XR) I overpaid heavily just for the Apple brand.

I literally don't use 95% of what was preloaded on it out of the box.

Like I said unless you "gotta have a new one" or just wanna try something new go for it.

I jokingly asked the people in the store if I could trade in my XR for an S5 and they were like "S5????" we have the S20 and then some employee was like "we don't make sim cards for old phones you can't do that".
