A few questions before I start doing anything.

1. A basketball court is 94 feet long. At this length how obscured would a baseball be if placed at the other end according to the Flat Earth model?

2. How large is the sun? And how high up is it?

3. Is there any reason I can't recreate the effect of perspective scaled down to a basketball court?



Also a general question. Why is the light not following a straight path in the flat earth model of perspective? What changes the direction of the light as it moves through the atmosphere outside of optically neutral events like scattering?

1. Depends on your perspective, what lense you choose - aka where you place the camera.

2. In the FE Model they say it's 38 miles across and 3500 miles up. I could show you how to calculate this with parallax but since we both know you won't watch anything besides your bias, so that would be pointless.

4. because the Light is relative to your local perspective - not relative to the entire earth - that's why it can appear to be setting in India to the west while it appears to be rising to the east in NYC

What changes the direction of light - your local perspective of the orbiting sun. Another theory is that the Sun is actually a giant ball of electricity and as it's passing your sky it excites the noble gases in the air to create light, so daylight could be a combination of direct sunlight, reflection off the dome and excited Noble gases.
