What do you want explained? Are you so goddamn dense that you don't understand perspective? The earth seems flat to a small observer sitting or living on the plan but is spherical to an outside observer. This is why we know general geometry is applicable on a small scale level but to plan thing such as flight paths we must use non Euclidean geometry.
