the thread, imo, is only talking about genetic evolution of humans

also an increase in human violence doesnt show that we are going backwards.. an increase in violence can be attributed to other factors

Evolution is still happening amongst humans, for the better or worse is merely opinion. I believe that we are slowly evolving into beings with more intellectual capacity rather than raw physical capacity. I would say it would be safe to assume that over a long period of time we will evolve to have the capability of learning greater and greater things. Not to be confused with being smarter. Being smart and being intelligent are two different things. Smart = knowledge. Intelligent = ability to apply old knowledge to a new situation.
