You don't and it's really the most important thing to have in the field. Science and research in STEM fields is massively complicated and you need to have learned all the building blocks of your field in order to fully comprehend the thing that is being studied. This isn't Good Will Hunting and you aren't some magical genius janitor who can show up people who have literally devoted their lives to understanding a very complicated topic.
