only god knows
the most retarded answer ive read here..
The "purpose" of life may or may not be answered depending on the terms of "purposes." I'm not sure if that's a word to be used rigorously. Biologically, our purpose, like some answers here, would be anything instinctive. But I don't think that's really the answer your looking for. The purpose your intending to find is the purpose of mankind, i.e., why are we here, or the meaning of life and etc. As a side note, I barely passed philisophy but I'm going to try to answer your question from what I remember. We as human entities have consciousnesses, and from that conscious lies the root of your question. It's this consciousness that allows us to ask this question but we can't seem to be able to find an answer. Do you think cats or dogs question their existence? If you want more in depth into this subject then I suggest you read Thomas Nagel's "The Absurd" I understood some of it but not of all it. The writings of philosophers are ridiculously difficult to read, but that maybe just me...or maybe not heheheh. I don't think I gave you a decent answer because matters of this complexity requires usually more than just a paragraph =)
