Or, you're terrible at communicating. Which is true. You vomited a word salad all over the keyboard and then blame people for not understanding you. You don't understand shit about physics, that's for sure.

Here's a simple solution for you. You keep claiming that the sun goes below the horizon... well how about you take a really strong telescope to the shores of Lake Michigan and tell us if you can zoom in on the bases of the skyscrapers in Chicago. The horizon rises up, isn't that what you say?

the sun is in the fricking sky....our 3d (eyes) optical perspective makes it converge to the vanishing point (the horizon)....you think you are seeing the sun SETTING, but it's not, we know the sun is still in the sky

how are you not getting this????

no, you just fail in understanding.

Exactly, You get it.
Quick, you better lie to yourself fast to keep up your delusions.

A = The horizon is a result of the ground optically raising (not curving up) to your eye level and is closer.
B = The sun in the sky plane is optically lowering to your eye level. (not curving around)

Because A is closer than B , more B is hidden by A

In optical perspective no part of A or B would be hidden.

If you have a plane above you and below you and they are perfectly flat no part of either would ever be blocked by the other. The only way you could ever have a sun set on a flat earth is the sun goes below the Earth, the sun goes to the side of the Earth so it is blocked by topological features like mountains, or the sun travels parallel to the Earth's surface LITERALLY BILLIONS OF MILES so it can be obscured by topological features.

In your model it would require the sun to travel billions of miles away from Earth in order for it to set, and since somewhere on Earth is always illuminated that can't happen.

does this help? I don't know how much easier I can break (simplify) this down.........I'm strongly considering to try and explain this to my 8 y.o. daughter, just to see if she can understand it > you

You only made it very clear you don't know what the word plane, peripheral vision, and volume mean.

You need to start over since you are using words in ways that nobody else is.

To start, a plane is a two dimensional object. It has no volume, and unless otherwise specified, is perfectly flat.
