If infinity is circle like then we might comprehend it or achieve it. However numbers indicate that circle is unlikely because how would that work with numbers I dont think once  a certain number is reached it starts at 1 again. The thing with numbers is that they might not be an argument because its just something theoretical a concept they do not exist in reality there are nothing physical. I don't know if I remember right, but doesnt a straight line will bent automatically if the distance is long enough in space (I am talking about light year distances).  Maybe something straight cannot exist, so the universe space is bending and coming to the place it started again. So maybe what we call infinity is a cycle.
Not sure though its quite complex

well the bending in space is caused by the interaction of particles but as explained in my post how time is measured it requires the non interaction so if you were to create a line in space of particles that didnt interact with other states then yes you would have a straight line but to see that line you would require in an iteraction which is light which itself slowly distorts through interaction in space and would see a wavy line or distorted line due to interaction with dark energy and dark matter and other given particles. dark matter contracts space and dark energy expands and space isnt empty and no space wont turn back on inself or thats the current theorum due to dark energy making the universe expand faster rather than contract at a certain point and although dark matter was seen to be the stronger force but quite simply there is more dark energy. and before i get quoted that space is a vacuum yes maybe but within that vacuum is dark energy and dark energy exists albeit that we can only detect it and not see it in a physical state we know its there and is similar to gravity but rather that it pushs than pulls. infinty is often seen as a loop but that loop is just to signify the meaning of infinity that it is continuous rather than it having a signifacnt meaning to infinity being a cycle of sorts.

What I don't understand is that light is supposed to be the fastest but just after the big bang the universe has expanded a much greater area than light could have travelled in those first 0.0000001 seconds of the start of the big bang.

well there isnt nothing as such that we know of but like he says the universe is expanding faster than the speed of light so you could say we do know of something but its beyond our universe and its called the expansion

- Is it more likely to be a line going in one direction for ever, such as time can it progress endlessly, space.
- Or is it a circle time strarts progresses and at a point starts from the beginning again. (why do I think it could be a circle:  Maybe the universe has a big bang, then the universe is expanding then gravitaion pulls it back to a single point and the next big bang takes place and that forever. This seems to be a circle. Also in respect to time. Time is dependent on matter, speed, space.  Matter, speed and space if a big bang starts again are pretty much the same again creating the same time again. So maybe time progresses then starts again at the same point it has been previously).

Would like to have some thoughts on this.

Infinity is something our finite minds can't grasp. It's neither a line nor a circle, but a continually moving dimension outside of time or space.

With no limit, there's no constraint such as time or space.

Look at it this way. If carsnever needed refueling, would there be gas pumps?

Sagan explained Infinity as a number quite well. You can relate what he said regarding that to whatever perception of Infinity you would like. Simply put, Infinite is limitless.

How can you say that when this thread is full of people that believe it to have a physical meaning?
