Looks pretty, do you have the option to use a woodchipper?
More surface area and breakdown. No problem just takes longer
I love mint.
Plant it with my melons and cucumbers often
I don't have any woodchipper, i cut everything by hands with a pruning shear and a small hatchet or a saw (same for the vegetable mound & all the mulchs i have made untill now).
I confirm for mint, infusions are very beneficial and it is very good in salad, in addition since you plant them next to your other plants, it protects them from some insect pests.
Good idea, I think that once my mint seeds in the pot have germinated I will transplant a good part in two or three other pots that I will put next to tomatoes, beans and pumpkins.
I must also not forget to keep tomatoes away from pumpkins and cover the pots.
I also planted herbs recently in a planter : chervil, coriander, chives and parsley.
