China is at 30% of global CO2 emissions (>double the US). Hopefully when their population starts to decrease as a result of the one child policy that number will go down.

I would also check the emission per capita

And guess who's magically appears in the top 10 while being far far ahead in global emission (usa ; 16.1 / 14%.34%)
China is 7.7 / 29.51%

Plus china has a governement with the balls to do it (as we can see since few years)

considering the difference between the average chinese and american citizen in terms of income, overall spending power, economic freedom, and as a result, ability to even impact anything around them (they are basically treated like worker ants by each other and the gov.)... it is quite impressive to me that their per capita emissions are even half what ours is. I figured it would be even lower.

they are 1379 millions , usa is 323 millions (x4.35)
