what is your point? the op just asked for experiences and opinions lol

we know its "bad" for you and frankly, if you cant tell, we dont give a shit.

......ill give you a second to realize how illogical this statement was.

hint hint...saying he asked for opinions yet saying my opinion is irrelevant to his question.

The cry of the truly credulous. Surely it would only take a few seconds for you to link a peer reviewed article showing I'm wrong. Do it.

You want me to go Google the answer to something I need not solute.

You're trying to prove me wrong, not the other way around. If you don't believe me, "hahaha." If you do, kudos on learning something I already knew and are one step closer to a less-meaning-less existence.

well the point is that its 7 pages long an there has not been anything except bickering about how psychedelics are bad for you.

edit: not only that, but the bickering is between a person who has never done a psychedelic drug and with, what im guessing, experienced users. I am not going to lie, I used to think they were awful and you would get all fucked up after doing them. Then I had the chance to interact with my roommatre a while back while he was on LSD. I saw my preconceived notions of that I thought the drug was, was wrong (keep in mind I smoked weed at this point). After doing reserach on the drug and experiences (http://www.erowid.org/) I found that it could be enjoyable.

My second experience on LSD was at an STS9 concert. While the experience certainly is all in my head, that event changed the way I listened to music, and it still does (and certainly for the positive). While I cannot say that I would not have had the revelations and general understanding of myself without the use of LSD, I can certainly say that the use of LSD has directly impacted my life in extremely positive ways.

no one claimed they are UNIVERSALLY bad for you.

i said hallucinations can be very traumatic for some people.

i already said if you can handle your shit and be responsible about it...do what you want.

hallucinations are not portals to grand truths and enlightenment no matter how much you want to believe so. hallucinations are common in mentally ill people therefore they represent something bad...not something good.

people who use these types of drugs excessively need psychological help. trying to escape reality with drug use are signs that someone has some serious problems.

I smoke weed every day.

But I graduated college, have a job, and a social life. I sure have a problem, but everyone does and to criticize someone for the way they handle their shit is naive.

Granted, if they are a frequent drug user and are not doing anything with themselves, thats a different story.

weed and dmt are two entirely different highs. if you use weed to relax and shit and are fine with the risk of losing your job(assuming its illegal in your area) then thats your risk to take.

the only real concern i have with weed besides the social ramifications are the links between it and its effects on a young persons brain.

and by "handle your shit" i mean being able to cope with whatever crazy fucking hallucination you have. some people can shake it off as "haha that was weird" but others don't get past it that easily.

yes and i dont think anyone here is advocating irresponsible and non-informed drug use. the mind is a powerful thing.

that it is. like i said at first...if you are a novice with no experience with hallucinations then its a big risk to induce them because god knows how you will handle it.

the opinion side being that i don't approve of people wanting to distance themselves from rational thought and a sound mind in the pursuit of "fun" when there are much healthier and safer ways to have fun.

i will never understand why people willfully choose to lose their fucking minds.

does the idea of being in a psych ward appeal to you? personally when i see one of those people who are completely removed from reality i feel pity..not envy.

You have no idea what you are talking about..

If someone tries DMT they are trying to gain control over their mind, not lose it...

Hey, you learned something new today, great job buddy!
