Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

If you eat shrimp you're evil.

Just an example of the things christians conveniently forget to teach about the bible.

oh that's old testament, and that does not apply to Christians, except when they want to put up the 10 commandments on public buildings, or want to hate on homos, or they just find it convenient.

And yet the authenticity of the new testament is fully contingent on the old.

exactly, so you only have to follow it when you want to. And remember people: these are the people who want us to use their book as the basis for morality...

Jesus literally said he didn't come to erase any of the old law, and that the entire Old Testament was still in effect until EVERYTHING (including heaven and earth disappearing) was finished. See Matthew 5:18. So who are you going to believe when it comes to what rules you should be following? Yourself, with your own sense of morality that you've already been following this whole time, or Jesus, who said the part about a rape victim having to marry her attacker is still the law of the land?

Nothing but praise to you sir! Exactly! Christians always use "only the new testament counts" as an excuse but when you actually take the whole thing light its total ludacris!
Thankyou!

Because people can't handle the idea that they're pointless.

Every person that steps through this world have a chance to change something at a time. We all know inventions, words, attitudes that changed civilisations. Humanity has the target of making Earth a better place for all of us and in this way i see things nobody is pointless.
Universe exists for a strong reason and we struggle to find it out. Nothing and nobody exists without a reason or a task.
