Life has no reason. Life simply exist because of coincidental combinations of atoms. You could as well ponder about the point of stone.

Stone has killing power. I once was part of a devotion about one of those old things there an everyday object in the story has a soul and can think. There is a...HAMMER that ponders what it is designed to do. It is used to bash things like tables legs back into place, or knock out a few tree branches and the hammer feels good but it wants something more because it feels like something is missing. He knows that he is designed to hit something but it doesn't know what. So it has tried to bash: Tree branches, table legs to push it back to the right angle, fences etc. But after all of that it still felt something was missing.

So one day the hammer was used to bash the head of a nail and that was when the hammer realised what it was designed to do! The feeling was the happiest feeling he ever felt, ever. This feeling was nothing compared to hitting the other objects, the hammer now knows its intended purpose and that is a feeling like no other. It is the same with us, we know what we are designed to do like the hammer but we just don't know where to use our ability. Once we finally hit the nail on the head, we will know exactly what our intended purpose is and it will be a feeling like no other.

Find out what your purpose is in life and then maybe you will be as happy as an everyday hammer can ever be... :bonk:

Such stories make me want to turn positivist. Seriously.

Science have so far not found out about our fundamental structure, so a statement like "life has no reason" (even if you try to back it up with atoms and chaos) might as well be bullshit, and probably is. Read the post before yours.

You people wouldn't be saying 'life has no reason' if you knew exactly what you were put here to do. If you found out that you have the ability to saves thousands of lives and you do that on a daily basis, then you wouldn't be saying that life has no meaning especially when you are saving lots and lots of lives.

But from a life has no meaning-perspective, saving lifes has no point because the lifes you save are also meaningless =P

It's a very subjective question. It is only up to you to give it meaning.

But you wouldn't be looking at it that way because you have already given your life meaning.

You will never know in this world whether or not life has a reason.
