i dont think this is going to happen

somebody has explained to me that light does not relly have matter but everything else does

as soon as u get to light speed u become heavier, so u need to go just a little bit faster to get to light speed
so it would take more and more energy to sustain light speed if we can get there at all.

i think its impossible.

Thats why first people need to build some sort of gravity engines, that would decrese our mass to 0

I sincerely doubt it. I dont believe that the human body could withstand this.

The human body can withstand any speed. What we can't bear is high acceleration. Let's say you accelerate very slowly for maybe 1 day until you get to speed of light. You prolly won't feel anything.

accelerating for 1 day from 0 to lightspeed is a faster acceleration than a human can handle

try a couple years.

Who knows, we're thinking we would have FTL travel with technology today, I think if or when we achieve this, we will have something in the ships that will stabilize us, so we could stand the high acceleration.

Yeah I know. If you accelerate at a rate of 1 meter per second per second, it would take 300,000,000 seconds to get to speed of light, which is nine years and a half. I guess I was tired when I wrote one day. Hahaha

It's possible. You went (or will go) to speed of light in 2100 with advanced technology, so you came back in time.

Well...even IF it is possible, I don't see the prospects of us ever reaching that speed -- simply because our definition of the universe in terms of physics says that we cannot travel at lightspeeds, and that to maintain speeds near light speed require incredibly large amounts of energy, so basically if its possible to reach light speed we're already on the wrong track. Our entire definition of physics would have to be rewritten and I don't think thats happening in 300 years.

No, physics says we cannot go faster than light speed. tongue.gif
