sorry for the delay, i wasn't ignoring this, just slipped my mind
now it is a good question, and I can just as easily throw this back to you...
let's pretend for a moment that ALL science AND religion is a complete lie ok
let's also pretend that your mind has been wiped and you are now starting from scratch, and need to learn about where you are and what this place is that you see...(just assume you have been able to keep the english language so you can communicate)
now, let's say the first person you bump into and u ask says "oh Hi. we live on a sphere that is spinning constantly and hurtling through this thing called space and we revolve around that shiny thing called a sun"
now, let's say the second person you bump into and u ask says "oh hey brother, we live on flat disc that is not moving, that shiny sun revolves around us and we have a dome firmament above us that keeps us enclosed"
so now, you have 2 different theories......how will you go about deciding which one is true??
and it must be proved with hard irrefutable evidence, not just cos this guy wearing a lab coat says a bunch of theories, or because this important Holy book says it is true.
so now, it comes down to doing one of the following:
buy or build your own rocketship and physically blast off into the atmosphere and see if you either slam into an invisible dome or reach this place called space, turn around and see a globe shaped object down below
or
get on a boat/plane and travel to the ice wall edge (Antarctica) and make the long trek to the dome edge and see the firmament for yourself and know that you are inside an enclosed system
Do you see where I am going with this? If everything we know is a lie, and we must prove it for ourselves beyond any reasonable doubt? which of those two options would realistically be achievable?
