I'm pretty sure we don't hire crazies for NASA, even tho I still believe if we actually combined all of the worlds greatest minds we would be way more advanced than we are now. The amount of greed behind the government/private contractors are crippling our push to the future because of greed. We prob would already have found alien life by now. People would go craZy at first, but once shit calms down we can just accept the fact that we are not alone, and god sure as hell didn't ONLY create earth for humans. I've taken several classes with a huge amount of devout Christians and few topics were about space and the discovery of life. We all know I was the most hated person in that class

True, about if NASA ever did that, but highly unlikely.

Also, you think if those placed in higher positions would speak the truth, other ppl wouldn't get rid of or hide the proof that gentleman had?



Ppl are too naive and self absorbed.

The problem is it's not just 1 guy in a room watching NASA mission feeds. If they came across something the word would spread faster than it could be contained.

I mean ppl who work there, I presume are much smarter than us. Specially when it comes to tech and shit like that.
But again, I believe theres some kind of containment plan for everything that has to do with the subject. So even if they see a spaceship on screen as clear as daylight, theres no way it would become public knowledge.

None of you read? Watch documentaries? Or better yet, know ppl who are or at some point in time, used to be high up in the goverment or private sector?

Political office and business interest are not the same as a scientific researcher.

NASA would prosper GREATLY(need a stronger word) from going public and suffer for keeping it private.

The problem right now at NASA is they are underfunded for how useful they are and they would jump at the chance to get the entire world to want to fund their research.

You give me one solid reason why NASA who has the knowledge, resources, and will to find things like alien life would possibly want to conceal it and i will stop arguing with you.

There is a containment plan.

SETI guidelines say that it must be verified by multiple scientist that the discovery of entities outside our world is a positive.

Then they must contact the UN of science administer


From there they use the rio scale on how the public could react to this type of info spread.

I do agree about NASA wanting to do this and that, but I also believe other ppl wouldn't allow them to do so. For the good of the world (in their eyes)

Yes, this is true Seti are the group of ppl who will engage aliens, if ever They also did admit most of what they find will be kept from the public... This although again is what the public has been told about SETI.

I'm saying, theres a very high possibility that organizations other than SETI exist that not many know about, that will eventually have a higher "clearance lvl" and do as they please.

There are ways to accomplish such things, if one really wanted to do so. But it's very very costly, dangerous and time consuming.
Seriously, ppl shouldn't even try to plan such things online. It should only be word of mouth. Big brother man, always watching

NSA will have a rough time getting into my home. The locks on my door aren't for my protection but for theirs.
