And any attempt to widen the category of what is considered alive to include the universe, will also necessarily include other things which everyone will agree is not alive (such as rocks), making the word meaningless. In short when the word "alive" describes everything, the word will become redundant and useless. Then we will have to come up with a new word to separate biological self replicating objects from other objects. And then you will try to stretch this word to make it include everything thereby ruining it as well. And we will repeat this process until you get tired and stop, so just do us all a favor and stop now.
