We're getting closer and closer to it, and making advances in biomedical engineering all of the time. We're starting to see bionic limbs that people can move with their nerves, lab grown organs, simple nanomachines disguised as red blood cells that can administer cancer killing medicine directly to tumors, and even gene inhibition that can give us longevity, strength, and intelligence. The age of transhumanism is dawning, and if you're under the age of 60 there is a decent chance that you will be able to live forever. All of this coupled with neuroscience means we could very well see the world's first posthumans in a matter of decades.

Thoughts?

No one wants to delay the rewards of Heaven forever. If you live forever you'll be living hell here on Earth and wish you would die. Whereas in Heaven you will live forever in eternal happiness.

Much better than here on Earth.

if the universe's existence is for a finite period of time, immortality is impossible

The Bible describes heaven as a place of continual and eternal praise of God. Sounds fun, right? It's like going to church all day every day! And nothing else.

just imagine you and a friend, being ~25 forever. honestly, i would be up to be a test subject for it.

to who ever said that your brain cells decay, yes i do agree, BUT, people live up to 100+++ and are still alright, if you get hit by alzeimers or some other disease like that you could be done for, if not, you continue living

getting old is your body that's slowing down the production of cells. so if you were gonna stay 25 years old, you cells production would stay the same, thus remaining a 25 year old healthy (if you keep yourself healthy ofc) male or female.

you will lose "some" cells when you smoke\drink or w\e, but the quantities are so insignificant that it'll only take toll after many many years (imo 200+)

In the LORD's Kingdom, people will have eternal life at the peak of their DNA lifespan. Therefore, somewhere between 20-35ish depending on the person. Just when the body reaches its peak, but before the downhill stage starts...

This same DNA is the blueprint for our bodies. And there is a day coming when all will be resurrected, some to eternal glory, and some to eternal separation from God.

These will be physical bodies, but imperishable & incorruptible. Jesus' resurrected body was physical and he actually made breakfast for the disciples on the beach the morning they saw him resurrected.
