Thanks for making a great thread on a part of life that all people should experience. Dreams are amazing and lucid dreams are heaven!

I also suggest the book: http://www.amazon.com/Exploring-World-Dreaming-Stephen-Laberge/dp/034537410X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1311614590&sr=8-2

It is filled with clinically studied techniques and you are guaranteed to be able to do it. The OP is of course a great starting point but this book goes very in-depth.

First

What if you dream of nothing but black though, or do you dream and just wake up and can't remember?

Everyone has at least 6-8 dreams per night, but your brain shuts down some of its sections after each dream so it can never remember most of them. If you wake up while in the middle of a dream, chances are you actually will remember it because your brain never shut down those certain sections. On another note, I know quite a few people who dream only in black and white colors, you may be one of them.

Great thread imo
