If the world is going to end what in the hell is the point in buying guns, stocking up on food, making shelters etc. huh?

there are almost 7b people in the world. so when it's the "end of the world" there will be stragglers. this is what fanatics prepare for. me? when the time gets close i might buy one gun, and one can of tuna.

why would u need to prepare for the end of the world?

Unless we get hit by a meteor, its not going to just explode and destroy all life. Every other way would take a long time.. time you could spend living if your lucky.

And theres no scientific proof for any doomsday scenario. Its true the solar maximum will happen around 2012, but it happens every few years and about the worse thing that could happen is large scale power outages.
The ice caps arent suddenly going to melt and flood everything. There is no meteor on a collision course with the Earth for 2012.. at least none that are large enough to do any real damage, we would have seen it coming years ago. Apophis will be coming close, but its not going to hit.. and the keyhole for a return orbit that will collide with us is extremely small, so the chance of impact is almost non-existent.

Unless you're some religious nut that thinks God is gonna pull down his pants and take a shit on us on 2012, theres nothing more dangerous happening then any other year.

Most meteors wouldn't wipe out everything on the planet that quickly. There's a few big ones out there that could wipe us out pretty quick but most are smaller and people would survive if they were far enough away from the impact. The hard part would be surviving with out the sun for a year or two till the dust settles.

We need to focus a LOT more on quantum theory, I believe this holds the answer to where we're going to go. Hopefully show us, that we are God, and have been the whole time.
