How stupid can one be to waste his life researching such a stupid topic. Live your life and when its done its done. Stupid people try very hard to do stupid things like become immortal.

Your ignorant comment disgusts me. I have a condition that will probably cause me to die before 40, what this man is doing is helping people like me live a longer and fuller life.

Its not an ignorant comment. Longer and fuller life also dont mean being IMMORTAL. What this man is doing, is wasting his time, along with anyone who is helping him. Because immortality will cause more problems than it will solve. Wouldn't it be a better thing to do, to fund organizations that have people working very hard to cure different conditions, rather than to divert their attention to one RETARD who is trying to make people immortal? Sorry, I just gave into your stupidity and argued back. Any other way youd like to say such a humiliating thing?

Immortality is certainly possible, however 20 years time is unrealistic. And to those who say overpopulation is a problem. If we had the technology to make ourselves immortal it would be likely that we would have other technologies for expansion beyond or solar system or planet at the very least. Since it would be easier to program nontechnology for artificial processes to organic processes.

That sucks but everyone dies. A good friend of mine has cystic fibrosis, he probably isn't going to make 25.

Theres always someone whos got it worse than you, and always some who have it better.

This guys research seems fairly implausible though. Nanotechnology is cool stuff, but it isn't magic.

Immortality is a biological impossibility for humans. As long as our bodies need and use oxygen we will die. Oxidation is what ultimately kills us in the end. Besides, we are meant to die. Consider the words of the late Mufasa, from the lion king, "When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great Circle of Life." NOTHING exist forever, not even your God. Religions and the worship of deities has come and gone since our conception. Don't be so naive to believe yours is the exception to the law of change. Everything changes. If you can refute that statement then you can become immortal. In order to do so you would have to prove Einstein to be COMPLETELY wrong, not just partly (Just to give you an idea of what your up against).

nothing is farfetched. there are infinite possibilities. whatever you put your mind/funds to, you can do whether it takes 1 year or a million years.
think back 10 years and you would have never thought of things that exist today. take a look at the technology in the military such as radars that can see through walls, something that was not imaginable a few years ago. what about the new idea of the stealth coat? you start to wonder that will power is the source here. if someone says, "I am going to invent a stealth coat." everyone would start laughing. sometimes it is good to be stubborn so you come to realize your weaknesses and strengths. come a few years time and the inventor will be the one laughing with money in his pocket. we are moving at an increased pace; with all kinds of information/technology available today, think about what the next 10 years can do.
