yes but if we do not eat meat, then we eat plants and would have to compete with these species we are "supposed" to live side by side with.

This doesn't really fit this forum's criterion, but I would say it is ethical mainly because we provide for them in a humane manner when they are in zoos and we have a lot to learn from them which may eventually better their species and our own.

apparently incarcerating animals and moving them from their natural habitat is ethical.

how would you feel if you were kidnapped by aliens and thrown in a cage while being gawked at, for the rest of your existence?

clearly we arent torturing animals for no reasons... most zoos exist for a reason

if you dont believe in cattle ranches and farms, since you dont believe we can do whatever we want to with other species, what plan do you propose to get meat, milk, eggs, chickens, etc.

if i was fed and provided what i needed, i wouldnt mind it. i would get to learn about their species
